Cordillera Residence

The goal of this renovation project was to build an authentic Colorado mountain home. Inspired by historical Colorado mountain cabins, Beth brought meaning and focus to the new home design. Just like quaint mountain cabins, the dining room became the heart of the home. To increase the home’s natural light, large sliding window doors were installed allowing the dining room and deck to become one. Also, a new billiards room was designed directly below the dining room, creating the same central focus for both levels. Beth’s team creatively used Bourbon oak barrels for the wooden wall around the billiards room. Which allows the light to flow between the pool room and family room creating privacy and unity.
The architectural designs were enhanced by artistry and craftsmanship. Natural light, high ceilings, exposed wood beams, and a mix of metal and natural stones successfully gave this home a mountain cabin vibe with a modern twist. Knotty alder cabinets, chestnut oak wood flooring, and a variety of woods were used to complete the mountain home aesthetic.
