In the heart of Avon, the Fattoria culinary team strives to bring the best Italian food to the Vail Valley. But before the restaurant could serve up their authentic Italian influenced Rocky Mountain cuisine they had a big remodel project on their hands. Beth worked closely with the restaurant owners and contractor to use the restaurant space efficiently and to create a modern Italian dining experience.
The location was previously the Blue Plate restaurant and the space was a blast of bright colors. The original entrance was poorly constructed with a large wall and a coat rack blocking the view of the restaurant. Beth and her team wanted guests to experience the restaurant from the moment they stepped in the door.
They were able to build a more inviting atmosphere by creating a welcoming and cohesive dining room with wooden accents and a simplified palette. The previously uninviting entryway was renovated to include new wooden doors, a gorgeous wooden bar, and a fireplace. Now when you walk into the restaurant you see everything. From the depth of the finishes, to the cabinetry and woodwork. The unattractive hanging track lights were transformed by wrapping the track in rich wood and by looping warm and modern lights through. Wooden tables along with cozy blue booths further the warm and sophisticated feelings. While faux stone, wine displays, and cookbooks are artistically placed through the restaurant adding to the Italian ambiance.
The restaurant’s theme was carried all the way through. From the table settings with black flatware to the unique dishes, you are compleatly immersed. Between the delicious Italian cuisine and the restaurant’s welcoming modern yet rustic atmosphere, Fattoria has it all. This restaurant truly is the best Italian experience in the Vail Valley.
